Peek-A-Boo

Well, well, well, look who it is-I think I've been hiding way too long & I think it's time to be found! So Peek-A-Boo, I see you!

After hiding in my hiding spot for a couple months, I've been reevaluating everything going on in my life and what goals I really want to accomplish. I feel like I've been putting them on hold for way too long now. February 5, was my moms five year anniversary of her not being by my side. Anytime an event shows up in my life, it makes me rethink everything that's going on. I guess you can say, I'm definitely a day dreamer. If you follow me on twitter or facebook, you'll see my little updates on myself, my life, my family, whom I'm so very proud of because we've come such a long way. My nephew that I live with turned one on April 5, while my other nephew will be two June 27. Also, a couple weeks ago, I had a big surprise! My mom & I always loved doing scratchers and the other night I had a dream that I won money on scratchers, so the next day I bought some scratchers & won $50! I couldn't believe it, but made me realize, dreams can come true if you just go out there and do it.

So, this is my apology, if I even have any people out here who read this crazy blog of mine, for not blogging as often as I should. I want to show everyone what I'm made of, I want to show the world what I'm passionate about and what my hero, my mother, got me into-which is fashion. I just want to meet the right people, show them what I'm capable of, and prove to everyone that I'm good at it. Be prepared for me blogging more soon :)

Obsessed

First off, I hope everyone had an amazing New Year, I have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT year :)

You may wonder why my blog name is called Obsession. Why? Because I have an Obsession with clothes, shoes, jewelry, anything that you can express yourself with. What are you obsessed with?

Lately, you've noticed I've been posting a lot of amazing shoes that I adore, but I think this artist, has topped it off. I've always said I notice the sole of shoes and that I hope one day when I become a designer someone can point out my collection in a crowd.

The artist of these amazing shoes is 25 year old Taylor Reeves AKA Taylor Says.  (Taylor Says on blogspot)

I think I might save up all my money just to have ONE pair! :)

Bring It ON!

It's official, 2010 is almost O-V-E-R! I always look forward to starting fresh and having new goals! I'm really wanting 2011 to be my year, I say "Bring it on 2011! I'm going to OWN you!" My motivation is bigger than it's ever been before and I'm really wanting to show the world what I have to offer!

And may I add, may I please have these Elie Saab dresses for New Years?!

Welcome Back!

Hello my beautiful Mr. Ford, so glad you're back! Ever since I heard the news a couple months ago about Tom Ford making a come back in women's wear, I was so excited! The pictures are just beautiful, makes me want to join the party! :)

"I told myself that I would not come back to women's fashion until I felt I had something new to say. I feel that fashion has become too serious and that the actual customer's needs have not really been addressed," Ford tells Roitfeld in the mag. "Fashion needs to make one happy. It is a luxury and should enhance one's quality of life."

You are my sunshine..

Spring 2011 may not be here yet, but I'm pretty excited to see all the collections from designers I love! The designer Balmain may be edgy, but I'm actually really liking the look. You may notice why too, the blazers! I might just need to go to therapy for my blazer addiction!

My boyfriend, who is in a heavy metal band might like this collection. Funny to think, I love fashion, and I'm dating someone who is tattooed and a singer for a heavy band! Going to his shows, I see different styles, mostly black, but they have great taste!

As I was going through the spring 2011 and pre-fall 2011 photos, I just kept thinking to myself how I hope that one day I can see my collection and have people adore my clothes. I want woman to feel beautiful and confident. But, sometimes it makes me sad that I don't have a friend I can share it with or start a clothing line with. I, myself, just need to be confident that I can do this, I just have to go for it.

Mother, May I?

I'm sorry for starring so long - But, I think your shoes are amazing :)

How crazy fun are these shoes?! Chau Har Lee designed these! I just love designers who just create shoes, clothes, handbags, etc. that are just so crazy you've never seen anything like it before. It makes me want to buy them! & they stand out so much, you'll never forget who designed them! I think I've discovered my latest obsession are shoes because that's all I notice anymore! Such an expensive habit I have!

I only hope my designs stand out for everyone to notice!

1. I'm the youngest of two older sisters who also spell their names with a 'K.' It's Kelly, Krystal, & Kourtney.
2. When I go out to dinner, I have to get dressed up. It was a rule growing up.
3. When my mom was alive, she used to check me out of school early on Friday's and we'd go shopping. My dad doesn't know!
4. I watch almost every reality show on E! & MTV. I know a lot of celebrity gossip from E! News.
5. I have OCD when it comes to certain things. Before I leave the house, I have to check everything twice before I turn the alarm on and walk out the door.
6. I want to be a fashion designer. I also, want a certain profit to go to the Brain Tumor Awareness because that's what my Mother passed away of five years ago.

Inspiration

I've been sketching... a lot. Which I'm loving because it's my quiet time & it's where I can focus the most on my future. For awhile, I just didn't have the time for it and that, I hate. I love going places and sitting and people watching because I get so inspired by people, even people I've never even talked to. Seeing what they were, gives me so many ideas.

A couple months ago my dad gave me him & my moms wedding album because I LOVE my moms wedding dress. He put a few pictures in there from when they were dating and there was one dress, that I've always loved since I was a little girl. It's a beautiful red dress that my mom designed and sewed herself. I want to recreate this dress because all of my clothes are inspired by my mother.
